Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order with us. By purchasing from
Cotswold Knit, whether through our website or at an event, you are agreeing to these terms.
If you have any questions, we are always happy to help just get in touch at
hello@cotswoldknit.co.uk.
About us
Cotswold Knit is an independent knitwear brand founded and run by Anna Wheeler,
designed in the Cotswolds and made in the UK. Our website is cotswoldknit.co.uk. You can
reach us at hello@cotswoldknit.co.uk.
Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase. Your
order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the
right to decline any order, for example if a product is unexpectedly out of stock or if there has
been a pricing error on the site. If this happens, we will let you know promptly and arrange a
full refund if payment has already been taken.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order with us.
All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where
applicable. We reserve the right to update our prices at any time, but any change will not
affect an order you have already placed and we have confirmed.
Payment
We accept payment via Stripe, using their Link checkout service. Your payment details are
handled securely by Stripe and are never stored by us. By placing an order, you confirm that
the payment details you provide are your own and that you are authorised to use them.
Delivery
UK delivery
We offer free standard delivery on all full-price orders over £60. Orders below this threshold
are subject to a delivery charge, shown clearly at checkout. We aim to dispatch orders within
three to five working days. Delivery timescales are estimates and we cannot guarantee
them, though we will always do our best.
International delivery
We ship to selected international destinations. Delivery costs and timescales vary by location
and are shown at checkout. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs
duties or import taxes in your country, which are your responsibility to pay. We are not able
to predict or control these charges.
If something goes wrong with your delivery
If your order does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please get in touch and we will
do our best to help. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our
reasonable control, including postal or courier delays.
Returns and cancellations
Online orders
As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of
receiving it, without giving a reason. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts
Regulations 2013. To cancel, please contact us at hello@cotswoldknit.co.uk within 14 days
of delivery.
Once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to return the item to us. Items must
be returned in their original, unworn condition with any tags still attached. We are not able to
accept returns on items that have been worn, washed, or damaged after delivery.
We will issue a full refund, including your original standard delivery charge, within 14 days of
receiving the returned item. You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the
item is faulty or not as described.
Faulty or incorrect items
If you receive something that is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us
as soon as possible. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including any return
postage costs, as quickly as we can. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act
2015 are not affected by these terms.
In-person purchases at events and fairs
Items purchased at markets, fairs, or other in-person events are not subject to the same 14-
day cancellation right as online purchases. However, if an item is faulty or not as described,
we will always put it right. Please get in touch and we will find a solution.
Sale and discounted items
Our standard returns policy applies to sale items. Items marked as final sale or non-
returnable will be clearly indicated at the point of purchase.
Our products
We take great care to represent our products accurately on our website, including colours,
materials, and dimensions. However, colours may appear slightly differently on different
screens, and natural fibres can vary slightly between batches. These are not considered
faults.
All our knitwear is made from natural fibres and requires gentle care. Care instructions are
included with every order and are shown on each product page. We are not responsible for
damage caused by improper care.
Our products are designed and intended for personal use. We do not permit the resale of
Cotswold Knit products without our prior written agreement.
Intellectual property
Everything on our website — including our designs, photography, written content, and the
Cotswold Knit name and logo — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other
intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, copy, or use any of it without our written
permission.
Our liability
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a direct, foreseeable result of us breaking
these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that
are indirect or unforeseeable, or that result from circumstances outside our control.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our
negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a
consumer are not affected by these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time you
place your order is the version that applies to that order. We recommend checking this page
periodically.
Get in touch
If you have any questions about these terms, or about an order, please do not hesitate to
reach out. We are a small team and we genuinely care about getting things right.
